BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Since its founding in 1993, POLI-TAPE Klebefolien GmbH has achieved continuous and, sectorally, above-average sales increases.

Major contributors to this success are the products of the central business divisions Textile Graphics and Sign & Digital, in which POLI-TAPE has established itself as a leading supplier in the market.

A clear indicator of the products' huge international market success is their presence in over 75 countries worldwide: Especially in Europe and America, premium products from POLI-TAPE have achieved high brand awareness.

From the early stages of its existence, POLI-TAPE has generated positive operating results and has considerably enhanced profitability over time by expanding its business activities. This step has laid the economic groundwork required to accomplish major investments in the enlargement of its production capacity, in research activities as well as in state-of-the-art warehouse logistics. Thanks to these key initiatives, the company's European and international sales activities have been greatly strengthened.

After a huge investment in a new building with a floor space of 9.000 m² to be used for coating, converting and for warehouse purposes as well as two new coating lines have been put into operation at the end of 2011.

The plant extension comprises of two new coating lines suitable for processing dispersion and solvent adhesive and for the siliconisation of paper liners. In addition a fully automated, robot supported converting and packing machine will go into operation. The coating lines are equipped with a high quality finishing technology which permits the manufacturing of adhesive films to the highest technical standard. Especially to be emphasised is the manufacturing of the complete range of Sign and particularly Digital Printing Films.

This step was of great significance for the continuous development of the POLI-TAPE GROUP. With this measure it is possible to concentrate the core business in Remagen and the profitability of the company could be expanded. In addition to securing jobs, new positions could be created and the production and technology site could be invigorated in Rhineland Palatinate.
